Celebration of Life photos for Jonathan Haywood

A few years ago, I had the privilege of photographing Jonathan & Louise Haywood’s 50th Anniversary and sadly, on Saturday, July 29, 2017 I had the same privilege of photographing Jonathan’s Celebration of Life. In the church Mr. Haywood’s friends, family, former students and neighbors all gathered to tell stories of inspiration and dedication that they experienced by knowing Jonathan. This was a true celebration of Mr. Haywood’s life – as we laughed and cried – listened to songs and just remembered what a real role model he was. His widow, Louise, was a remarkable rock -dressed beautifully in blue and her signature hat. Hundreds of hugs and kisses poured over her and it made even an outsider like me realize that this is a family that prays together and stays together through the joy and pain. The most interesting moment was when Mr. Jonathan Haywood himself was able to give his own eulogy from the 50th anniversary video that was done years ago. The love he had for all who attended and his love for God, country and his wife brought tears to our eyes. His humor and wit made us smile and his ability to tell a great story captivated us. To recap, I wish I had known him. It seems that anyone who missed a chance meeting with this great man, missed a blessing. Thank God his legacy is being passed down through everyone he encountered.

I just wanted to start with first and for most thanks for saving our day back in October of 2021…. Our photographer we had booked canceled on us not Once, but Twice! Through email at that….. With us not being local to where we were getting married, we wanted to do engagement photos with our wedding photographer. Just to make SURE! Which we didn’t have a big wedding and SO many of them said they noticed you knew what you was doing. 😊. I got not only a photographer I got a coordinating photographer. (I’m glad you had I all figured out, because I was just going with it). You knew exactly what to do and was quick at snapping people into their places. LoL We were beyond excited to receive our sneak peek photographs from you, in just a few days. They are superb and we love your innovative style and artistic eye. Savannah will forever hold a place in our hearts thanks to Jamie and Chris. Arriving at Wormsloe, I had no idea I would be leaving engaged. Jamie, worked with my now fiancé a few days prior, to create a magical surprise proposal. She made it so effortless for him to plan from afar (Buffalo, NY) & the process was seamless. She captured every moment from the happy tears, to the laughs. Thank you Jamie for being part of our special day & for truly making this surprise happen.

Working with Jamie and Dream Weaver was without question, the right choice! From the initial interaction, Jamie was responsive, knowledgeable, and professional. We had a group of 16 coming together to celebrate a 50th wedding anniversary - 8 adults and 8 children - Jamie created a fun experience for all involved. Full disclosure, we did have a challenge (the card lost the initial photos); however, the way that Jamie handled the situation is why this remains a 5 star review. She worked with our schedule, did a complete re-shoot and even brought a second photographer to ensure we were going to get what she had promised. The end result is exactly what we wanted - 3 generations captured and a 50th anniversary celebration to be remembered. Thank you Jamie!
