Surprise Proposal in Forsyth Park

Surprise proposals in Forsyth Park can be tricky.  So learn from the master – Mr. Felix.  Felix contacted his photographer (me) weeks in advance and we have been texting and chatting about locations and what to do and not do.  Savannah is the most beautiful city for a surprise proposal and Forsyth Park is the place to do it.  If you Google “Savannah” you will even see this historic fountain in the name – and Felix decided to do this right.  Grace and Felix met in Tampa, Fl    and they had their first date at Ocean Prime.  Just 15 months later, Felix had spoken to both Grace’s mom and father for their blessing and he proposed!  Grace (as you can see) was so taken back, that she practically collapsed in his arms – just overjoyed and in such shock and surprise.  Actually, Felix played it so cool that Grace truly was surprised.  A horse drawn carriage brought the couple to the park where Felix played “dumb” just letting Grace ask if they were going to walk around or if the carriage was going to stay and take them to the Pink House for dinner. Felix knew that the carriage wasn’t going to wait and he proceeded with our devious plan to shock Grace – and it worked!  I arrived early and was there taking photos of the fountain.  Felix gave me his phone to take a quick shot of them and I took one with my camera “for lighting purposes”.  While I acted like I was taking a photo with his phone,  he smoothly pulled the ring out of his pocket…Grace’s expression is priceless!
