What to Do on Tybee Island

What to do on Tybee Island, Ga according to the Robbins family…first a little backstory…Dream Weaver Photos has been photographing this wonderful family for 8 years! They take a yearly pilgrimage to Tybee for so many reasons and so many things to do here. Take some really good advice from the Robbins and this is what they like to do on Tybee:

Visit Huck-A-Poos! Family friendly dining with games, live music and fun! Everything is fresh and your bill won’t blow your wallet up. According to the Robbins kids, when you drive into Tybee, its the first place you should eat. “It’s Tradition”
Rent a bike! There are tons of places to rent bikes on Tybee. Since the beach isn’t too terribly long, you can bike from one end to the other!
Go to North Beach and watch the sunset! North Beach Grill is there too. Grab a drink – lose the straw for animal safety – and take a scenic stroll!
Take a surf lesson! Tybee Surf School did a great job with both kids and its not expensive! Plus – Aimee says that they got both kids up on the board the first lesson! Great for a large group or individuals!
Atmosphere is wonderful…Savannah is known for its kindness and hospitality and Tybee Islanders are known for that plus being laid back and easy going.
Hire a Tybee photographer! Don’t capture those family photos on Tybee with your cell phone! They will only be little for so long – and our turnaround time is less than a day!

When you visit Tybee, make sure you do a few things mentioned from the Robbins family – who are experts in having fun and not breaking the bank…

I just wanted to start with first and for most thanks for saving our day back in October of 2021…. Our photographer we had booked canceled on us not Once, but Twice! Through email at that….. With us not being local to where we were getting married, we wanted to do engagement photos with our wedding photographer. Just to make SURE! Savannah will forever hold a place in our hearts thanks to Jamie and Chris. Arriving at Wormsloe, I had no idea I would be leaving engaged. Jamie, worked with my now fiancé a few days prior, to create a magical surprise proposal. She made it so effortless for him to plan from afar (Buffalo, NY) & the process was seamless. Working with Jamie and Dream Weaver was without question, the right choice! From the initial interaction, Jamie was responsive, knowledgeable, and professional. We had a group of 16 coming together to celebrate a 50th wedding anniversary - 8 adults and 8 children - Jamie created a fun experience for all involved. Full disclosure, we did have a challenge (the card lost the initial photos); however, the way that Jamie handled the situation is why this remains a 5 star review. She worked with our schedule, did a complete re-shoot and even brought a second photographer to ensure we were going to get what she had promised. The end result is exactly what we wanted - 3 generations captured and a 50th anniversary celebration to be remembered. Thank you Jamie!
