We, wealthy, describe poverty as a lack of food, money, home, etc…Poor people describe it as an “empty heart”, not knowing their ability, isolation and no belief in themselves. This photo emulates how the poor feel – invisible, worthless, a small insignificant part in a huge life. God sees these people. They are not invisible.
I had the honor of photographing a wedding at the Mackey House where Davy Crockett, with Coastal Confections, brought his desserts. I have never seen or tasted such an interesting display of talent! These are egg shells cut with a dremel tool and filled with delicious and sweet egg custard with a chocolate “I Do!” heart. Next to them – not to be out done – were little fruit pies! The glaze looked like glass and I asked a bridesmaid to please split one with me – the filling – phenomenal – the presentation was unique and fun. Davy belongs on television – maybe his own cooking show because the world needs to see his talent!! So glad to be able to photograph such delectable treats!!
